For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them,
the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.
Psalm 139:13-16
PARTNERSHIP WITH FAYETTE PREGNANCY RESOURCE CENTER
I am excited to announce a new ministry partnership we are beginning with the Fayette Pregnancy Resource Center. Each Thursday between 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM the FPRC will be setting up their mobile medical bus on the Crestview campus. They will be providing free pregnancy testing, ultrasound, and counseling related to pregnancy and alternatives to abortion. This is a gospel ministry focused on promoting, preserving, and protecting life and pointing people to Christ.
From Psalm 139 we know that the Lord creates life in the womb. As those who fear the Lord and trust his word, we agree that the taking of life through abortion is heinous and sinful. Partnering with the FPRC is a practical way we can, “open our mouths for the mute, for the rights of all who are destitute…judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy” (Prov. 31:8-9). In addition to mobile medical services, at their Fayetteville office there are a host of other services available, including diapers and other basic needs for babies and families, parenting instruction, abortion recovery assistance, and much more.
If you know anyone in our community who would be helped by this ministry, appointments may be made through the FPRC website. The mobile unit also accepts walk-ins. Follow this link to learn more: Fayette Pregnancy Resource Center
Sunday, April 25, Niki Garner of the FPRC will be sharing about the ministry in gathered worship and will have the mobile unit on campus for you to tour. Anyone interested in volunteering should contact the FPRC or speak with Niki that Sunday.
WORSHIP OUTDOORS THIS SUNDAY
Despite a chill in the air the fellowship of the church was warm as we assembled outdoors this past Lord’s Day. Lord willing and weather permitting, we will do the same this Sunday. The forecast is for warmer weather, so come with excitement and anticipation!
The “WHAT IS THE GOOD NEWS?” outreach is in full swing. Each Sunday the message will be focused on proclaiming the gospel in a straightforward way looking at talks given by the apostles in Acts. Our social media promotion is generating many clicks and views. We had at least one visitor Sunday as a result. We are leveraging media to make contact with our city, but nothing is better than a personal invitation by you. Who will you bring this Sunday? Invite your ONE, family, friends, and neighbors. What’s holding you back?
RESUMING OUR NORMAL SCHEDULE
Finally, we plan to return to our normal Sunday/Wednesday schedule on Sunday, April 18. I trust by that date most of our church member will be able and willing to return to equipping courses, community groups, kids, and student ministries.
For His Glory,
Pastor Thomas
