CURRENT GATHERING GUIDELINES

Updated: April 15, 2021

On April 8, 2021, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp rolled back COVID-19 restrictions on gathering sizes and seating distances. While many are becoming increasingly comfortable with church gatherings, we realize there are different approaches and comfort levels. We are returning to our normal ministry schedule but we want to emphasize the need for personal responsibility for yourself and your family. COVID remains a concern for many that needs to be respected as we gather as a church.

Personal care and diligence are encouraged, including washing hands regularly, using hand sanitizer, covering coughs and sneezes, and remaining at home if you are not feeling well or have been exposed to someone who is sick. Face coverings are welcome, but are not not mandatory.

When greeting one another please ask permission of the other person prior to shaking hands, hugging, or sitting in close proximity.

Our worship center has 4-foot spacing between seats. For the time being, we are casting the live stream in the fellowship hall for those more comfortable with distanced seating.

In nursery and kids ministry we will follow a “healthy ministry commitment” at sign-in as well as temperature checks.

In the event that cases rise again in our area at some point in the future, we are prepared to strengthen our gathering protocols as needed.

Why is loving one another important during this time?

Within our church fellowship there exist a variety of preferences in how to approach the virus. Some will take a slower, more careful approach, while others may see some personal restrictions as unnecessary. Your cooperation with these gathering guidelines is a way to show love to one another. Remember Paul’s instruction to the churches in Rome in this regard, “We who are strong have an obligation to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up. For Christ did not please himself…” (Romans 15:1-3).
